Recently I have done a bullying survey. I asked 5 simple questions; 1. I have been a victim of bullying at some time during this year. 2. I have bullied someone this school year. 3. I have witnessed someone else being bullied this year. 4. What do witnesses or bystanders usually do when they see someone being bullied? 5. Bullying is a problem in our school.
My survey results were as followed: (out of 90)
1. Agree: 25
Disagree: 64
2. Agree: 12
Disagree: 78
3. Agree: 43
Disagree: 47
4. Most people said Nothing.
5. Agree: 48
Disagree: 42
These results were astonishing to me! Martin Luther King Jr. once said, " Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter." This relates to my survey because for question number 4 almost everyone said nothing. People are choosing to be silent and to forget about it. If people choose to do this then bullying will keep doing it and many lives will be lost. I hope that after reading these astonishing results they will realize the importance of telling people to stop bullying and to make a difference!
How did you get out of 90 and i got out of 5??? :/
